How to Obtain Permanent Residence

Federal Skilled Worker: As a temporary worker in Canada, this immigration program allows you to obtain permanent residency if your temporary job position is made permanent. However, you’re required to meet some eligibility criteria before you can be eligible to apply for permanent residency with this program.

Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

This program allows temporary workers in the country to become permanent residents of the country through nomination by the province. Once you’re nominated by a province, you’re then eligible to apply for permanent residency permit.

The country has thirteen provinces and territories with each province and territory having its own separate provincial nominee program.

Canadian Experience Class

This is another program that allows temporary immigrants in the country to obtain permanent residency. You need to have worked in a skilled position in the country for a minimum of two years to be eligible for the program. There are other criteria and requirements that you must meet before you can apply for the program.
