The provincial government also wants international students and graduates who could contribute to the growth of their province’s economy to stay in their province. Each province in the country has different eligibility requirements for its candidates.

It’s important to note that your application does not necessarily have to be in the province you graduated from. You should first consider the province you would like to live in as some provinces allow you to apply through their provincial nominee programs even if you graduate from another province.

    Family Class

This immigration option is open to those candidates who while studying or having graduated in the country have fallen in love with a Canadian citizen. This could either be an opposite or a same-sex relationship. Since you’re already in the country, you’re eligible to stay and work in the country pending the approval of your permanent residency permit.

However, it’s important that your partner must be a Canadian citizen, must be 18 years or older, and prove that you plan to continue living in the country together after obtaining a permanent residency permit.
